Covid-19 Guidance
For Valuations:
Current circumstances related to the global COVID-19 pandemic are leading some RICS regulated members* to include ‘material valuation uncertainty’ declarations in their reporting and advice. This does not mean that some RICS regulated members are currently unable to value, indeed valuation under these circumstances provides a key function to support markets and stakeholders. However, valuations may reflect the restrictions that material uncertainty brings. These decisions are on a case by case basis.
For Surveys and Inspections:
We have in-house surveyors still available to undertake instructions and carry out surveys.
The surveyors are of course adhering to the social distancing advice - following stringent government guidelines they can work upstairs whilst the vendors are downstairs and vice versa to keep distance.
This is subject to arranging access to the property - Due to the current Covid 19 situation, access will depend on if we can access the property via the current occupier/estate agents). If we are getting access to a property with a vendor who is self isolating to protect themselves from Covid 19, in that situation we can only proceed to undertake the survey with the vendors' full permission.
If the property is a home to somebody who already has the virus, we would need to delay the survey until they have recovered.
